stories of old

stories of old

A Poem by FaeryQueen

My love becometh me

Under the sycamore tree

.

Shower me with

your sweet love

Tell me stories of ancient beings

.

In war

In romance

In passion

In passing

.

Tell me

Their burdens

So that they may be my own

.

Tell me of Aphrodite,

I can only watch so much [YouTube videos]

Tell me of the beautiful goddess Medusa,

Tell me of Athena’s envy,

Tell me of how the Minotaur was slain,

Tell me of his past

And how he came to be,

.

Tell me of Great leaps of faith coz I haven’t got a clue

How I’m gonna fight this one through

I don’t know how to stand without you

.

Tell me of the garden of Eden,

Tell me of Adam and Eve, how

They escaped the she demon, Lilith

.

Tell me of her rage

Tell me of the gods’ ridicule

.

.

.

Who hurt you, Lilith?

Who burned you?

At the stake,

Who learned of your true nature first?

.

.

.

Under the sycamore tree

All my love is for you to bleed

So, breathe me in

And don’t breathe me out
