Secrets

Secrets

A Poem by AKhaus

And there it was…the masterpiece before me.
A twisted, deceptive and unkind creature which was crafted by the same.
She said, “keep my secret”, and I obeyed.
She told me stories of her tormented creation and professed that she would vow to never be the same.
And here I am her dirty secret, her hidden whipping boy so foolish for forgetting the nature of such a scorpion.
It’s ironic that she tries to divide her appearance from her actions always thinking she is blind.
