Ghost

Ghost

A Poem by AKhaus

The sadness descends and my skin feels the intensity of the dark wrapping itself tightly against my everything.
I cannot breathe let alone think of how to escape this immense cloud enveloping my air.
How can this ghost so long buried come to life and shut me down into this indescribable abyss of despair.
Do not open the letters from my past and reminisce on my sad love lost that tore the hole which changed my eternal orbit.
I was something turned inside out and left to rot. I was left to devour my own pain in the shadows as you escaped through that back door.
You’re a ghost that deserves nothing more than the grave you’ve laid.
