A Poem by AKhaus

We all return to the shadows from which we sprung. Born in the aimless darkness and to return to our colorless start.

The strings of the cello seduce my sensibility and I want to just drift into that nothingness which sings truth.

I forgot myself and was lost in that wind. The pain to remind me but I wouldn’t let her back in.
I tried to cry blood as the moon peeled my skin but the emptiness was deafening.
I lost myself to a fire that never reached the sun but only faded as a dying star.
Pale from the inside my guts just yearned to fail.
No ghosts hiding in my room and no tormenting guilt to tear me through.
Just a forgotten shell deep below the sea and no one to see it again
