Reconcile

Reconcile

A Poem by AKhaus

How could I ever reconcile this?
Putting me under that pillow and secretly loving me.
Hiding me from your life, your other self.
How might I ever forgive you for this?
Making this love less than the light of day when once you took my breath away.
Unconsciously cruel and blindly battering the love I gave.
How could I ever look past those moments?
Nothing breaks the silence like your denial that I was ever there.

A poem brimming with emotion. I felt the hurt here. For your existence to be denied by another will be a source of great pain. It would make you feel insignificant and worthless. You convey your feelings well.
