the wanting

the wanting

A Poem by AKhaus

what I want, well that is and endless answer to such an empty question.

I want to defy you in the moments you feel weak.
I want to console you when you think I am gone.
I want to kill you only to love you in the darkness of the calm.
I want to remember you when I am beside you and my heart no longer beats to your song.

what I want is not what I need but it seems it matters not in respect to you...

Bleed me dry and I will forever need you here.
Silence my words so I can always be in your ear.
I have nothing but you give me less and there my riches overflow.
You taught me to hate what I need so I can keep wanting you more.

what I want is a treacherous climb up a granite mountain of fables for fools.

Your lips leave me lying so I can ask for more.
You only give me riddles and rhymes, symbols and signs but nothing ever to hold onto.

ask me again, please...I will tell you no end to these questions of restrained and quieted desires
