An expression of Self

An expression of Self

A Poem by kij143

Bursting with color, tasting the heat;

a rippling effect, which is never discreet.

Plunging in depth, twisting the mind,

creativity is the key; the hole you must find.

To open a world, beautiful and lush

intricate and lavish, opulence is flush.

A world rich and deep in the heart

one you must have access to, in order

                to start.

And from there, gather your bearings and close your eyes

Take a bite of creativity, mold it, shape it to size.

Then fashion it, create it to match your design.

Paint it, play it, write it down line to line.

Then polish it, and sign your name

a mark of approval, the start of your fame.

It all starts with an idea, one fleeting thought,

then a picture, an image-one dared to be sought.

Creativity fuels and Expression Of Self,

these people to desire,

the innovators of the mind-a spark fanned to fire.

Creative minds sprout new ideas,

differeing designs to be made,

and these ideas will live on in our work,

even when our memories will fade.

A very positive poem. I agree with your logic. Need dreams and goals to keep us in the right gear. I like the complete poem. Thank you.

Absolutely lovely, my dear Kricket. I covet your work, I really do.

I like this! I think my creativity professor would too. Yes, we have a actual creativity class, part of our liberal arts education. ;)
I would suggest bumping "to start" back a line with the previous words, but other than that, I like this a lot!
