the night

I saw a contest about emo poetry so i thought I'd give it a go.

The night is where i draw my inspiration
The night is where i draw my pain
Forever in the shadow of doubt
and all my lovers slain
Seven years of bad luck
The night my fragile glass mirror shattered
Seven years of the wrong decisions
Though to me the truth never mattered
Give a little get a little
Take a little take alot
The sin of greed a lure to great
The dark corner of self destruction
My confidence shattered

the stranger of self respect stares at me
In my reflection it mocks me
That smile full of sickening glee
 I shatter the glass
And retreat into the night
The dark, the unforgiving,yet deserving
The night

This reminded me a bit of WATCHMEN. Something that Rorschach would say as he walked the streets.
