The Six.

The Six.

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

A look a those woman we all pray to in our own ways!

"

A thought grows clear and serves her accrued,

Glimmers of honesty expel from papers arena,

Talent is known and wisdom is always thought,

Clever women grant wishes from the one Athena.

A verse so tangled that she works hard to solve,

Prayers guided by men that seek redemption rigid,

Spirited souls fly high to meet the one protection,

Ah hear us writers our dear sweet Bridgid.

Weather changes as seasons do with flat people,

A hand sculpts faces so clear but never soaked ashen,

Globes of nonsense are seen from pillars straight,

Oh feline of others shaped for statues of Cerridwen.

Those unscarred beauties that never lay down with men,

Take scripts that polish hopes of held manna,

Clear and subtle flesh coveted strong and forever,

Protect them closely the lofty Diana.

Gallop hard and strong black animals of haste,

Make movements on those heretics of Estonia,

I heard that rumour you left men behind,

Take heed of w****s that tell tales Epona.

Lay waste to all those angry fighters of wars,

You love with fierce plight and leave scars nova,

Hatred and spikes lay close by your amble breast,

The green light shines lowly on you now Freya.

A classical framed piece that rings with true authority, especially when read aloud. Women, history has made many into goddesses. Both good, and bad... And I very much liked the progression of the piece, it gives us strength in its final proclamation...

I like the progression from Good to evil. This plays very nicely in the mind. This will be going into my library.

Thank you! x
seems i have more of a problem than i first thought. i tend to worship too many goddesses. your writing skills have increased and i sense a different awareness in you since your recent hiatus. this is very good, Thomas.

An interesting write on your chosen Goddesses of wisdom, fire and forgery, the moon, protector of horses, love and fertility and prophesy. Very mystical and deep.

Marvelous but... beware the twisted logic. If a wish is a dream your heart makes then a prayer is a heart you wish for in your dreams. Why woo just one woman when six could be as equally perplexed as one? If our dreams, wishes and prayers go unanswered perhaps there is a lack of clarity or naïveté on the part of the supplicant. A word of caution: never approach a deity in a drunken stupor unless it be Dionysus. :)
