The Couple.

The Couple.

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

A look at a single moment we are lucky to share once!

"

There my copy is still against silk stained in sweat,

How words covet the flesh only fingers caress,

Be mindful of eyes so beautiful they burn red,

My darlings forever in times we seek redress.

Kisses sought and found burrow deep within me,

Pleading nonsense waiting for times unsolved,

Arms so strong they lift fear and worry away in one,

A problem leaving angst among memories now resolved.

Single strands try hopelessly to cover a sober face,

Not shy but abashed in silliness and guided heat,

Long for the partner they told you would never come,

How wrong a friend can be with proof now in heartbeat.

An act so pleasurable it needs no explanation,

Yet we must give it words to have meaning no fright,

Lashes as long to compel minds of females to envy,

Oh my you have given a rounded gift here this hot night.

Had this friend but couldn't make my mind about him. He was either the devil or God. So he told me to prove him devil ... poor bloke, I thought I might have broke his back ... but guess what ... a lot of people call him names like lizard, illuminati and the deceiver ... but to me he would always be my friend. I thought I caught some of that in this poem. Great write Thomas.

Thomas, there is no review that I could give that would do this justice. Please accept my simple-minded, "Well written thus well done."
