Sending.

Sending.

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

A message for you all at this beautifully sad and exciting time of year.

"

The loving smiles are true in nature,

A family of which to feed and cater,

Bright young things are full of glee,

As they whisper hopes upon a knee.

The fathers pride knows little bounds,

Many singers ring bells of clear sounds,

A gift wrapped box set high aside,

Those hurtful feelings one can abide.

Mothers secrets not told but thought,

Webs once hugged now fearful fought,

Glitter adorns her silk like face,

A kiss from those she takes embrace.

Leaving sadness now with years alone,

Please remember to steer clear atone,

While Christmas may bring memories back,

Be quiet and do not leave cheer to lack.

Have a very merry Christmas my darlings, I adore you all and hope you are being sent all the love you deserve. x

This is so well written.Your rhyming is excellent.I find it hard to do rhyming poems because I find it is quite hard to do without making the lines sound forced, Another year gone and presents opened but have we let go of our ill feelings or are we breaking bread with malice in our hearts?.We should learn to forgive because we never know how long we will be around.

The mixture of emotion that the Christmas period brings us is always a challenge. We prepare for son long for the one big day then in a blink it's all gone.

Indeed, thank you x
The last line was a great "summation" to your thought I felt.
The holidays can be a mixture of joy and sorrow. Usually they are I find...
Again, you write with honest intention and convey realism well.

I love the way this is written with succinct verse rich in the sentiments of the season. There are messages worth heeding in each one, which highlights the importance of family, friends, and an opportunity for forgiveness and moving forward. I enjoyed this very much. Justine :)

Indeed, Christmas is a time for merriment, though also a time of somber reflection of seasons past and of loved family members and friends no longer with us !

A reflective, poignant remembrance !
