The Color Blood

The Color Blood

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

A statement to those of difference

"
His skin soft his hair short,
His muscles defined his name tort,
Her nails long her lashes curled,
Her eyes sparkling singing her world,
Taunt their enemy black their curse,
Brown their confusion KKK there worse,
The same as I gone in the flood,
We came one way the colour blood

well now … I purposefully find my way to the earliest entry or perhaps the one that has migrated to the last line in order to see just where this venture has launched
this piece is as good as one gets
strong truth

Confusing, but tight, concise, and straight to the point. I love your no hold bars style and how yo are not afraid to put out the truth.

The rythm is very catchy and quick to draw the reader in. I like the use of few words to create a bigger effect that what they say.
Excellent last line - very compelling reading.

What I got out of it. No matter what the colour, we are all skin and bones. The flesh can expire the same as any other. To take a stab at the truth...well hell, we all bleed the same don't we?

Wow! I love the title and I love how when I was reading it you kept this patter, a flow that is fast like a beating heart in fear. This was excellent.. i love lines 7 and 8 :The same as I gone in the flood,
We came one way the colour blood

A stab at truth indeed!
