A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

Just a piece I've been working on, a human sense of purpose I think!

"

A cat's purr brings light to my sleep,

A tussle and coarse carpet I feel,

A man holding whats love to his soul,

A fire does skip and dance the reel.

A glass of plump wine sits in my gut,

A mind is swimming for thoughts broken,

A friends is never far away from me,

A truth is felt hard in time when spoken.

A kiss has stained my lips on this night,

A touch sends skin to breath the air,

A look of sensual longing eats at me core,

A chase I walked upon to be clearly fair.

A door did open a life for two not one,

A window has closed on battered quite,

A house is no longer just curtains and shelfs,

A home has settled on us this dark night.

A love of sex and flesh has bound me to you,

A caring smile has locked my heart with a key,

A tired mind will now rest for some time,

A spirit is flying in tandum for it's free.

We all have something that if we acquire it, it has a way of making us feel as if we have been set free. I think of acceptance for when we find that one person who accepts us totally for who we are we then in turn feel free to be us. Having that wine in your gut, with satisfied flesh enjoy what is yours in your realm is totally a feeling of freedom and I am glad you have found it within loves touch.

beautiful expression. I too like the line : A home has settled on us this dark night.

I like the bare truth of the line: A love of sex and flesh has bound me to you, Something that people seem to shy away from at times!

A touch sends skin to breathe the air...........A home has settled on us......A house a home does not make but the entwining of hearts that live there does.....Beautiful!
