Elevator

Elevator

A Poem by Katie

Life is like an elevator,
Goes up and down,
As I step in, I see mirrors,
Sometimes ads,
Sometimes pretty wallpaper,
But OH! Whats that?!
The elevator,
Small,
Tight,
Boxy,
Sometimes stops,
I jump like a rabbit,
breathing heavy as we move,
No way to get out,
Only in,
I hear the elevator,
Seems to be laughing with a slight cough,
At me,
I try not to listen,
but it gets louder
Finally the doors open,
Never mind I am okay again,
Try again some other time,
Until then,
Stairs.

Aw thank you! I tried to be serious with a little funny at the same time.
