Castle Walls

Castle Walls

A Poem by Olive Belikov

I stand alone
among the desolate ruins
of a once grand home.
I walk along
the tattered walls
that held photos of
smiling children,
happy faces,
gentle eyes.
I breath in the ash
that remains forever
floating through the air
like snowflakes
on a driftless breeze.
The sands of time
have taken hold
and though years have past
-many more
passing still-
memories do not fade
from blackened mirrors
half hanging
from broken hooks.
This forsaken house,
this ravaged castle,
a life once lived,
is a life no more.

true ........and very deep about life and its faces

I really like the scene you made in this. Hmmm, I think it would be really cool if your created a story and used this poem as a bit of the hook/outlining of it. It reminds me of the same feeling I got when I read the first book of a Series of Unfortunate Events. I hope that doesn't confuse you too much.
