Mindfully Unaware

Mindfully Unaware

A Poem by Kerri Maniscalco
"

a really quick piece to get back in the groove of writing poetry...it definitely needs some work

"

Walking through a cloud

An ever endless fog

Slips into your frightful shroud

Looking to fall into a space

An ever comforting place

Somewhere you know you belong

A somewhere to turn

Without hearing an endless song

Slipping further fast

Trying so hard to make it last

Finding your days are numbered

As the alcohol takes you quietly

Into a sleepless slumber

Watch your every move

As those around you

Quietly make you aware

Wishing on the distant star

You could leave them all

Mindfully unaware
