(Pardon The Cliche But...) Mirror, Mirror

(Pardon The Cliche But...) Mirror, Mirror

A Poem by ikibala222
"

someone accused me of being evil once. this is what i had to say. a personal favorite of mine.

"

i am not Evil;

i am just...

sad.

what’s the

difference,

anyway?

clockwork

cranial

contrast.

black and

white.

night and

day.

ignore the color

beneath the

gray.

orchestrated

ostracism.

bypassing

discipline.

running on

charms

instead.

stained

red

by the

throbbing

mass of

Liars

in my

bed.

don’t bother

knocking.

no one is home.

too busy

unlocking

rewinding

my ghosts.

swim!

you won’t

sink!

if you don’t

wait!

for a reason

to resist!

i do not need

assistance.

unarmed.

unready.

i accept my

Disability.

If:

i (You,)

am (are)

my (Your)

own worst

Enemy,

i (You)

better keep

You (myself)

close.
