how do you know me

when you barely know me

your intelligence intoxicating

and i want to write you poems

not necessarily love poems

but i could see them becoming that

i'm intrigued

like the moment

i heard your voice

and was puzzled

a man caught in-between words

although i

provided the words for

the introduction

so maybe

you could write me a poem

let me know if

the door is open a crack or

if someone else is

holding open the door for you

either way

i'm glad you took me up on an

           introduction
