two stepsisters

two stepsisters

A Poem by knightcall

my eyes fill with tears

be they happy or sad

her love was counterfeit

when exposed to the air

it vanished

all it was

a bunch of cheap ink

her love is genuine

i feel it seep into my pores

and she sends me love packages

full of things

it doesn't matter what they are

as long as they're real

and they are

she came running

when she had a problem

empty pockets

broken down machines

legal papers at her door

she forgot about the lies then

they were her ways and means

before her quick exit

she is intelligent

she understands what i say

what i write

better than i do

she has a heart that stretches for miles

and i am caught in her purple web

a sister to her feminine ways
