noon

A Poem by knightcall

was i
a one afternoon stand
you said i was hot
you couldn't stop holding me
we met at the appointed place
miles from our homes

did you walk fast
in order to
not hold my hand
or was it
that you didn't want to be seen
with the next man

now i know
there's plenty of things in
this world that i don't know
but the longer the silence is
the bigger the doubt

and i play scenarios
in my mind
where you're the victim
otherwise
i would have heard from you

right?

I can relate this poem sadly enough. You express this scenero and the outcome quite brilliantly. Awesome the way you capture these different moment and bring such truth to them. I love them,.

There's a distinct flicker or ten of bewilderment and hurt in this.. questions to be answered, thoughts calmed. I like the simplicity of the words, they show the needful child in you, sad.
