everybody thinks i'm o.k.

everybody thinks i'm o.k.

A Poem by knightcall

i can pick up the phone
be the same guy you've ever known
make you laugh and
fill you with amusement
everybody thinks i'm o.k.

as long as i've known this
i've known how to hide it
nobody wants to see it
nobody wants to see me bleed it
make em laugh one time
everybody thinks i'm o.k.

under my skin
a train burns
i stay up late
denying the inevitability of morning
soda pop and cereal
you can't spot this
it's too surreal
everybody thinks i'm o.k.

look into my soulful eyes
my body knows how to lie
i can put up a living front
a mask for my personality
everybody thinks i'm o.k.

Good write...I could sense lonelieness in these words...

Posted 13 Years Ago

I've known this feeling in my life for too long, sometimes I'm sick and tired of feeling it. If I looked into your eyes, they'd tell me the truth of what was really going on inside, because, in all my life, I've found that eyes never lie. The face can contort and confuse, but the eyes are like crystals which hold the secrets: see-through only if you know how to gaze into them...and if you have the courage. Laughter is a good thing. I wish I could make you laugh.
