flowing

flowing

A Poem by knightcall

she was standing on the edge of the shore
collecting seashells with her feet
the boardwalk was closing
sea gulls were returning home
and the lighthouse somehow
shined upon her
catching her emeralds
glazing the rhinestones on her petticoat
the rain put glistens on her freckles
made the sand heavier on her feet
the lights of the boardwalk turned off
a spotlight for her trail
look at the water for
the storms that have been calmed
diamonds fall like dust
surrounding like a divine outline
the beach lights up like
iridescent algae
a weather balloon watches the tide
she washes her feet in the ocean
and disappears
