dark shadows

dark shadows

A Poem by knightcall

my world is so dark
nighttime has pulled its shade
my eyes are wide open
but right now there's a thunderstorm in both pupils
and i'm either blinded by the crash or
the pitch within

forever feels like waiting
home doesn't seem close enough
wondering when the stars will start
and i have an internal dialogue
the reasoning waiting for light

tap into my imagination
there you are
my break in the front
the clouds step aside and
let you walk in

roll me in your cosmic mania
let's eclipse each other tonight
guide me to the red spot
you know i've never been known for Mercury
the contraction of an orbit
where things are always dark

I read this poem to my 28 year old son as I read it for the first time. He was in awe of it. Welcome to my cosmic mania! Climb aboard, let the search begin. And just how dark is dark my friend!!!

ur poem is really nice write, do have a look to mine "QUEST OF LIFE"-
" it is about how one neglects his life ,pondering about this precious gift of nature unnecessarily ".
