Fall and hold

Fall and hold

A Poem by knightcall

when the night takes over
hold on to yourself
take some time to feel
before it's time to dream
slowly let go
before you fall
consider me your superhero
catch like a cradle girl
if this is love
eventually we'll both proclaim it
time will wrap us into decision
though i'm convinced of my grip
your voice never haunts me
my words start to rain
believe in the question
the change that comes with sunsets
open up, slay all your dragons
they've been up to no good
terrorizing the neighborhood
i'll hide behind the strength of you
i know i talk too much of love
you can't bring that to a knife fight
though the emotional strength might get you through
i'll keep writing valentines for you
yesterday is falling
hold my hand as hard as you can
we don't have to face living nightmares alone
no, i won't  let you go
the light fades too soon
make us a lantern that
only shows our faces
 and everything else has disappeared
i'm not gone, i'm only circling
this life has feelings to govern
if there's another day
we'll see it
i won't let the sunlight go
