A Poem by knightcall

your girlfriend keeps texting me flirtatious messages
apparently to see what kind of reaction she'll get
don't you understand
i'm so over that
the junior college is down the street

i don't remember my arms and legs having strings
tell her to let it go
set it free
because believe me you're an afterthought
like losing your car in the parking lot

now where did you get the idea that
the doors to this
weren't closed long ago
did you have to tap my mind
it's so juvenile so puerile

it's not like i have a reminder
a tattoo across my chest
excuse me if i be
the bigger man
excuse me
if i remember
who i am
