Skipping

Skipping

A Poem by Matthew Kay

I love hard. I write hard.

I am a rock

No man shall move me.

Love will throw me,

toss me,

on murky lakes.

Skipping time,

skipping one love for a thousand.

Until I love it so much,

I throw myself.

Straight at some poor sap's cap,

dripping with Jewels and verses,

split wide open,

and then,

I'll love that.

I'll destroy you with my love.

That rock that was a pebble,

thrown by light graces.

A Boulder I say!

Waiting,

rocking on cliffs.

high above our heads,

in our beds under the covers,

a cold lump is my love

all over again.
