ART IN PROGRESS

ART IN PROGRESS

A Poem by kublakhan27
"

"
From the distance of a dreamer
I must be to lay awake
and see the harness of a muse
in the slender fingertips you unfurl
to detain thoroughbreds of ambition
in your wooden case
Horse hairs entangle and embrace
against the wall of flesh-shaded
canvas under lush sheets
sweating drops of oily rainbows

Why the distance of a dreamer?
Even though I lay
not far away and fully conscious
of the five fingers and a hand
that nervously explore your dimensions
only under shut eyelids
am I to grace your canvas
with the permanence of art
our signatures a dialect for two
amid the universal alphabet

Oh now you're dancing on the table with this one...

'canvas under lush sheets

I would faint but I have to finish this review....seriously, love this one, it has a certain
je ne sais quoi, that is sensually enticing, your muse oozes quiet abandonment...just love it!
Nervously explore my dimensions anytime, just saying ;-)

They say a horse represents many things, and those things change according to who is stating them. I think your horse represents beauty on here. A beauty that was there yet out of reach:) A beauty who inspired you to create this marvelous piece.

I love the theme of art, painting and horses all in one elegant sweep of a quill, it's hard to tell who is painting whom, you the artist, paint the painter in this unique write, at least that is how it come across to me :)

All very good points, I tried to leave the roles open-ended...thank you Corset :)
This is great stuff, it seems to be our special tradition to write about poetry these days. My eyes would have preferred more stanzas, but that's quite superficial I guess.

You breathe out a hauntingly beautiful expression of life... your muse so near in the distance... the passions that strike the chords that bring your poetry to life. Profoundly voiced.

This one certainly came from deep within...thank you Eros :)
this sounds like the body braille....interesting and copious with determined yet reluctant fervor. it feels like one of those awkward sexual liaisons somehow. very gingerly written and yet quite good. stellar!
