A Poem by Kaylee Nicole

Better get out before you’re in too deep,

The currents high and it’ll put you to sleep.

Oh darling, can’t back out now,

You’ve admitted it to me even though you deny it to yourself.

The fires burning,

But you’re not learning,

Your morals, staved,
Revenge, you crave,
Isolation is all you're deserving

You can pretend all you want that I’m not here,

But I can see through that layer that hides your fear.

You’re dying inside because I’ve done you well,

Now you’re going to fry in hell.

Enjoy the warmth my dear, it’s your last escape,

You’re the ignorant one who chose your fate.

Good piece of work. Maybe make it a little more consistent structurally, but overall very good.

Thank you! Your feedback is much, much appreciated!
I felt that this poem had a lot of strength to it. One thing though that I noticed was that the structure of it wasn't entirely consistent. For the most part it was, but there was just some lines here and there that didn't fit in with it. So I would suggest keeping it consistent to make it easier to read. But apart from that, really nice poem, I enjoyed it.

Yeah, it's kind of a rough draft. If you have any specific advice for me, I'd really appreciate it. .. read more
