Stoney Love

Stoney Love

A Poem by Panini_girl

You were different than everyone else

You didn’t believe in marriage

Nor romantic relationships

But what you did care about was

The physical and not the emotional

Even though our friendship meant the world to you

or so you say

But you keep playing with my emotions

Saying you love me. But then you walk out

why?

You can’t answer me. Right. You don’t know. It’s just the way it is.

I want to tell you: all or nothing

But if you choose nothing… it will hurt too much

But if you choose all… it will hurt you too much

You said you didn’t believe in soulmates until you started really talking to me

But now… you take forever to reply when you text me first. Or you just completely ignore me.

Hon. You’re playing with my emotions. Stop. Please. It hurts to much.

Here’s a lesson: Love hurts, so turn your heart to stone. Don't choose ice, it melts. Don't choose fire it can be put out.
