Guide Me

Guide Me

A Poem by Scarlet Love

The sun fell

The moon didn’t rise

Oh where, tonight,

Is my guiding light?

For it’s mid-day

And it’s black as night.

My eyes never fell

But the sun did rise

And these rusted chain links

 Will be my guide.

Lead me on, and on until,

The moon shone through

My smoldering will.

I’ll sit back,

Give into you,

And pray, one day, you’ll see me through.

I love this, i have an appreciation for small line breaks like this, i like the way it flows. almost like escaping in one breathe. you have captured longing beautifully!
