Two little girls riding bikes and playing with toys.

Dressing up their dolls and running from boys.

 

Running and jumping always carefree.

Smiling and laughing on a swing by the tree.

 

Two little girls grow up to be teens,

so into music, makeup, and movie screens.

 

Styling their hair, smiling at boys.

Smiling and laughing, so full of joy.

 

Two little girls blossom into young ladies.

Dream of careers, money and mercedes.

 

Dancing and laughing happy as could be.

Thinking of things they's like to see.

 

Two little girls become beautiful women.

Who now think of groceries, bills, children, and linens.

 

PTA meetings, soccer games to go to.

Thinking of things they need to do.

 

Two little girls gracefully grow old.

Walking together, hands they now hold.

 

Laughing and smiling at old memories,

as they sit together on the swing by the tree.

What a delightful poem about friends throughout time. I like the rhyming and the things we can all look back on and relate to. You have so many great verses here showcasing happy times...
