What Is A Friend?

this is a poem i wrote about true friendship.

 

 

A friend is one who knows all of your hopes, wishes, and dreams.

The one who is there for you, when life falls apart at the seems.

 

A friend is one who shares in your laughs, loves, and pain.

The one who stands by your side, even when they have nothing to gain.

 

A friend is one who helps you to reach for the stars.

The one that reminds you that no dream is to far.

 

A friend is one who never takes sides.

The one who admits their faults, even if it hurts their pride.

 

A friend is one who is always lends a helping hand.

The one who is always willing to take a stand.

 

A friend is one who's commitment will always remain true.

I couldn't have asked for a better friend, then the friend I found in you.

I loved this piece because it's very honest and touching. What's written is all the characteristics I would like to encounter in a person. This piece is the whole truth and nothing but truth.
