Ever Wondered

Ever Wondered

A Poem by "Fanatical Dreamer"

She'll sit in an office rocking from side to side,

whenever she gets an irritable feeling inside.

Figures would make her mind turn cold,

Whereas an essay would add food to her soul.

Some may use the word naive to describe her,

As she willfully acts in a childish behavior.

Yet still laughs and screams may not always be heard,

As she sometimes elegantly utters extravagant words.

A house full of people won't always excite her,

As her spouse is all she may need to entice her.

Her imagination is beyond her control,

She’ll fantasize about stories yet to unfold.

She's as sensitive as a moth to the light,

She can easily tell when something isn't right.

Classical music makes her quiver,

A Dramatic movie would her mind trigger.

She's creative

She's persuasive

She's a weirdo

She doesn't care though

Is it because she's a woman of the Arts?

'As sensitive as a moth to light' is a marvellous metaphoric line, an intriguing write about an intriguing person!

I wonder if this was an autobiography ?

Intriguing !
We all have a bit of bipolar is all of us... as artist... if they do not admit to it... then they are not artist... they are of a different kind altogether... Now I see your truer form... You're a combustible... never know when you're going to explode... or not...

Thank you!
I can relate to this poem on quite a few levels, I love classical music I find it to be a blank canvas in my mind, the only thing that works better than that is the sound of the wind. I enjoyed reading this and thou I would never fit in with the true Art world I am definitely a 1st cousin.

No problem but please, please, please take me down from this pedestal - All Good Things, N
Wow! Really cool poem! It is so true.. the artistically minded tend to be on another level of existence :) Sometimes my fantasy world is more real than my real world. Love what you have written :)
