BOUND

 

i walked the path of the unknown, 

and listened to riddles of the gods. 

i was made to believed i am with the wise, 

'til my heart was lured by the glamour of your gloss. 

 

mirage clouded my eyes to see reality, 

and doubts to know what is beyond. 

in my heart i felt something is wrong, 

but was afraid to asked what is reality? 

 

like a bird in a cage with wings 

but cannot fly and wander beyond her kingdom. 

her gaze always up in the sky 

dreaming of one day to fly and never come back.

The first stanza hit me like a ton of bricks, it flowed into a million thoughts of how it fits me, and where I am. I am left wanting to know more....
I relate to the the thoughts, the ideas in the rest of the poem, yet they don't quite have the same intensity as the first. In my heart I feel...... so much is in that.
the message I get through the whole poem, i relate to so well. Waiting for my feathers to grow back i spose.

probably my favorite one of yours that I've read. The flow was excellent and there was no awkward stop or pause or sudden change in thought/ emotion. It all just seemed to blend seamlessly and it made for an amazingly emotional and powerful piece.
