A Message of Anguish to God

A Message of Anguish to God

A Poem by Alex
"

One of my favorite poems I wrote when I was 13 or 14.

"

The children's tears flood our streams.
The children's screams haunt us in our dreams.
The children's scars won't seem to fade.
What is this world you have made?

I am searching for a better place.
Not an atmosphere of disgrace.
Mother said someday I'd find my prince charming.
A place without insensible harming.
And the world would shine brighter and brighter.
Warm hearted feelings displaced tighter.

It's not even safe to walk the streets anymore.
The bad economies making people more poor and poor.
God If you're up there,
Why the world is surrounded by cruelness and despair?

I try to set my negative attitude free.
But when I look around I see hatred and jealousy
It must be acceptable to kill the innocent.
I want to feel secure and content.
I want to know the reason,
Why we conceal the truth that's said and done.
I want to be relieved from this relentless misery just begun.
