Traces of Late Night Trances

Traces of Late Night Trances

A Poem by EdenHarper

Silken cords of moon-strung light

An owl’s tremor in the night

Skeletal silhouettes dance

While midnight prowlers will unite

Parades of shadows unseen

All masquerading as a queen

It’s not all as it would seem

On night’s dark word one cannot lean

Cloaked serenades arise

 With secrets one can’t compromise

Luminous gems strung up high

The darkness holds both truth and lies
