Pain.

Pain.

A Poem by Omar
"

This poem was written during one of my most trying times in life, the imagery used is quite dark but it was my form of expression at the time.

"

Pain, all that is known is pain.

Like a jagged-tooth blade

Ripping through flesh, with

The absence of anesthetic.

Hoping for salvation in any

Form, pain if fought, endured.

Ripped like wings from a

Bird, left bleeding crimson.

Never to fly again yet

Hope that a miracle will

Occur remains. Fed by

False truths, believing each one,

Never truly attaining solace.

Doomed to an eternity of perpetual

Darkness, souls crying for some light to

Illuminate the path to higher planes of emptiness.

This is the true meaning of life

For the severely injured hearts,

Who know nothing but searing pain.
