You Don't See Me

You Don't See Me

A Poem by Black Rose

Beside you, my heart beats fast

I think its what they call love

Perhaps an obsession

You're constantly on my mind

But you don't see me.

Like a ghost, I'm invisible

Lost in the crowd

Stuck, no way out

The girl in the background

The girl that doesn't speak

The girl that loves you most

The girl you'll never see.

You make me go crazy

I've completely lost my mind

Yet you seem so content

So peaceful

You just don't see me.

We don't choose love

It comes in like a drug

Gets you hooked

While slowly destroying

But the high feels so good

There is no better feeling

So I stay on this drug

Even when you don't see me.
