Memories in muddy clay

Memories in muddy clay

A Poem by Linear
"

Another ramble, through intermediate and undetermined thoughts

"
Butterflies, buttercups and dandylions too
roses and hyacinths, violets blue
all come together to remind me of you.

Gentle breeze, brings the fragrance of dew
 warm summer days
and distant haze
bluebells blossom in shady glade.

Bird song echo's
along leafy groves
girls walk by in their pretty clothes
from the boats on the lake boys whistle in play
all these things
bring memories of you to mind.

Dragonflies, bumblebees
sticky red lollies and candy cotton,
fresh cut grass
coloured balloons
kites flying high, music nearby

Red lipstick purple mystic
diamond eyes
telling such lies
all on this critical day

Loving words spoken, so often broken
promises made, seldom kept.
Images of you
carved in my mind

Come my love take my hand
meander with me
make a stand

You told me you were broken
that I couldn't fix
yet it's me that's shattered
and patched up
with sticks.

Complete poem was a pleasure to read. The lines above were my favorite. When we fall apart. Need TLC to repair the body and mind.
