Do You Know Me

Do You Know Me

A Poem by Linear
"

Changing Shadows, shifting shapes

"
Through leaves of mighty trees
Crawling between encrusted bark
I come slithering

Down into roots dark compost
Passed mould and stagnent pools
I come stalking

In the reed beds splashing
Fish eyes spliting
Bullrush bending
I come swiming

Brushing past the green grasses
Blades bending
I come rushing

Silently walking gravel paths
No sound making
I come breathing

Through keyholes fitting
Without locks turning
I come

Carpeted stairs alighting
Slowly creeping
I come under doors that are closing

Do You See Me?
Standing
Panting

What am I?

ooooooooh sounds like death.?
This was well written, in kind of a scary way.
Loved the imagery.
I seen the kinda dark shadow, creeping, gliding, slithering. I seen the bending of the grass as he slithered by. I seen him slide through that key hole and even slip under the doors. Very creative!

This is a creative poem and very descriptive as a twisted feel to it.

I don't know, but you better not get my white carpet dirty
Or you'll be in big trouble. Ha!
Loved this scary little poem.
Only the shadows know.
