I stare at the hour glass glued to the table
And a tear slides down my cheek
I pry and I pull but im sadly unable
The bonds of time have never been weak

Because theres no rewind button
Theres no "edit undo"
Everything happens for a reason
And I'm slowly losing you

The sands of time are moving too quickly now
Ever so amazingly out of my reach
Im trying to slow myself but I dont know how
Speeding towards an end that I pray to not reach

I agree, it can be turned into a great song. There are perfect verses and an outstanding chorus just waiting to be sung.
You've used imagery very effectively. I could see everything through your eyes. And the ever-so-continuous aspect of time is potrayes in a very impressive and tragic manner. It has a sad and yet romantic feel to it that makes the reader want to read it again and again...

this piece is so magnificently written,i see a platinum hit,a one hit wonder, and i bet you this is something the super dope producer-songwriter kenneth "babyface" edmund will want to lay his hands on...so touchy yet it has fulfilled the essence of scripting your thoughts....this has a connection to my poem titled "THE END",where i wrote "i turn seeking for reason why there is always an end for a beginning?" but sadly i found out "to begin is a quest whose reward is ending"
