I See Right Thrpough Your Lies

I See Right Thrpough Your Lies

A Poem by literarygirl37
"

About a girl who knows her friend is in trouble, but won't accept help.

"

You don’t see your own beauty

You don’t see who you are

You say that you are fine

But I see through your lies

I know you’re really hurting

I’ve been where you are now

You say you can’t do one thing right

But I see through your lies

You say that you aren’t worth it

And who am I to judge?

But I know who you really are

I see right through your lies

It kills me to see you crying

And I know that you do

How can everything be okay?

‘Cause I see right through your lies

I wish that you’d accept

The love I’m giving you

You say that it’s enough

But I see right through your lies

I love you more than life itself

But I can’t tell you that

You say you don’t need anything

I see right through your lies

I’d jump right through a burning fire

I’d hop out of a soaring plane

You say that your don’t need it

I see right through your lies

Don’t tell me you’re not beautiful

Don’t tell me you are fine

I’m here just waiting for the word

I see right through your lies.

I love the way it doesn't rhyme perfectly, and the dedication the author has for the subject is clearly shown here. Fabulous :)

ISRTYE shines with good ole simple inspiration ... The title & it's mantra through the piece truly hits the idea home that friends are there to support you BUT also to call you on your crap ... It's honest, straightforward and true blue ... Good job, Litgirl37!
