Waiting in A Tree

Waiting in A Tree

A Poem by littlekinglord

I'm gonna wait on this limb
All by myself and count my sins
While ants go marching two by two

Hang on, Hang on waiting for somebody to come
Hang on, Hang on rescue me from what I have done

I should go cause you are late
Stuck with the hook, forgot the bait
The seconds crawl, the minutes stall

Rock paper scissors
 the paper covers rock
I can't even win against myself
 I'm all out of luck
Rock papers scissors
the paper flies away
Saying: I don't got all day

Superb emotive! This poem takes you into its world and feel with the poetic persona what otherwise could not be shared or transmitted with someone other than ourselves. How tough it is to have to wait for something that takes time when we do't got all day to do so. The depth and feeling are profound. Thanks for sharing. Frederick.

I liked the visuals in this write and how you passed the time waiting. Some minor edits are needed in the final stanza.which will improve the overall flow.
