For a close friend who went to hell and back...

Swimming in the big waters 

filled with life, fun, and danger

you take my hand and i follow

denouncing title of stranger

unknowingly, you made me feel like 

your intentions were right and pure 

i don't think of letting go 

as we begin our new adventure

ever so dazed to realize 

that you're taking me too far 

you made me think that i was safe 

seeming so sure about who you are 

you got carried away as well 

you trapped us both in a whirlpool 

it's too late to turn back now 

i begin to see myself a fool 

as we are both drowning 

you finally let go of me 

i push my head to the surface

just maybe someone will see 

i see the coastguard zooming 

i no longer have to fight 

he pulls us both to safety 

and says "it's gonna be alright"
