Human: Ceira

The roar in my ears was even louder than the frantic dance of my heart. Josh had come to save me? Was he nuts? I thought he threw darts at my picture, and wanted to eat me.

Another came to back him up. He was about eighteen or nineteen, with dark hair and floresent bloodred eyes. My heart beat fast when he touched me; I wasn't used to the touch of a Vampyre. It was cool; I mean, his hand was cold. His skin was like velvet, dragging over me in a smooth sensation. I back up until I was against him. He held my hand tight, and his hot breath warmed my ear. He was protecting me against his own kind. My heart skipped a few beats and I swore lightly under my breath. Lightly, the Vampyre kissed me on the check. Instead of hitting him, I welcomed it. My body lerched backwards, and I kissed him again. His mouth tasted of blood and his teeth tore at my lips. He kissed me harder than intentionally, and soon we were sort of making out. This was my first kiss ever, and I loved every minute of it. I could feel hot stares from around the clearing, but ignored it. The circumstances couldn't get any worst, but I loved it. I knew it was just the Vampyre trick; the beauty of every sense or body part was intensifyed when one became a Vampyre. Hunter's qualities. Yet, somehow, I knew this was the real him. This was the real person I was kissing. The human left in him, not the Vampyre. I was kissing one of my own kind, loving the feeling of his velvet skin on mine. I heard fighting behind me, Josh attacking Clare and keeping her off of me. My heart learched and I tried to pull away by the Vampyre had his hand on my back. I leaned in closer, feeling my heart flutter intensively...

He ended up being the one who pulled away. The silver haired Vampyre had dragged the beautiful Vampyre away. Then, I had the perfect look at him. He was perfect. His eyes were a floresent bloodred, as I had said before, and his ragged black tshirt drapped his perfect figure. His black jeans twisted evenly around his legs and his feet were clothed in black cloggs. His mouth was even more perfect; his lips were in a small half-circle, blackish red. He was newborn; he hadn't finished changing all the way yet. His teeth were jagged, but not jagged enough to kill anything by themselves yet. Some other Vampyre--I guessed Josh--had made the newborn's first kill for him. The newborn was not yet developing, so if he went mad because he was so unbareably thirsty, he couldn't kill Jamie or I.

I turned towards Josh weakly. Blood stained his clothes and his arm was slashed. He grinned trumpthantly, one leg on Clare's broken body, then other postioned on the ground. Blood was leaking out from under Clare's limp figure. I gasped, immeadiately thing Josh had killed one of his own kind to save a flimsy human. Then, I saw her move. I felt both relief and horror at the same time.

My heart racing, I plunged to the ground. The hansome Vampyre rushed towards me, catching me before I fell. In the backround, as if through a tunnel, I heard Josh say, "Back off," and the Vampyre's hold on me loosened. I felt Josh's hands replace the grip. My body felt limp in his arms, and he lifted me up.

"Look what you've done," he told Clare angrily as she stood. Stared at her sightlessly. Now, due to the weakness of my injuries, I could only see people and their movements. And even that was blurry. I saw Clare stand eagerly, looking at my broken body.

Clare gasped, seeing her own damage done. "I...I was...thirsty."

"No exseption," growled a voice behind us. I knew from the perfectness it was the handsome Vampyre. The one who had caught me when I fell. He was my demonic angel, who had saved me when I was falling. I used to think Josh was one as well, but when I pictured his ruthless and a bloodsucking leech, all my love for him was lost. Now, when I thought of love, I thought of Edward. Even that was gone now, too, now that I had seen my demonic fallen angel. I didn't know his name, yet I was so in love with him. He was the first person I kissed. He would be my love.

"Enought, Ian." said the silver haired Vampyre. Ian. Like Ian Malcolm, the one I had loved from Jurassic Park. The intricate genius that had understood both the majesties and defections of the park. I absolutely loved him, his name...everything about him!

I heard Josh snarl. "Back off, Silver. He's speaking the truth."

So the silver haired Vampyre's name was Silver. How appropriate.

I groaned suddenly at the knawing pain in my stomach. I felt as though I had been ripped apart, even though only the real wounds were in my neck and on my stomach. Her claws had raked me when Josh had pulled her off of me.

My heart flopped weakly to the side. I saw Jamie unconcious. She was breathing, but she lay still in the mossy grass. Clare caught me eyeing her. "Jamie," she mouthed, then, at inhuman speed, she flew to her side.

"She was out here looking for you," my voice sounded like I was being tortured. "She loves you."

"As I love her," Clare murmured softly.

"Woah," Silver joked. I could tell it was a joke from the amusment in her voice.

"In a friendly way," Clare added. "I want to stay as her best friend forever. I couldn't bare to loose her like I lost my mom..." an idea lit her eyes.

"No..." I murmured torturedly.

Clare threw herself on her, attacking her neck. Jamie's eyes flew open, and she screamed.

The transformation was incredible. Her once dainty fingernails grew longer as more blood leaked out; as did her teeth. Her eyes swirled uncontrolably until they were colored bloodred. Her face grew more prettier, more daintier. Her figure became beautiful and welcoming, giving her her last hunter's quality. Her lips persed together until they nearly merged. When they parted, they were midnight black with a tiny tinge of red. Then, for the first time as a Vampyre, Jamie opened her eyes.

At inhuman speed she leapt from her spot and was on all fours. She looked around hungrily, searching for food. Finally, she found some. Me.

Josh shielded me. "Ian, keep her back."

My new love nodded carefully. He tensed, watching her. "Jamie," I whispered softly. "What have they done to you?" I spoke slowly, as if though she were deaf.

My heart sped up when she lunged towards me. Ian threw himself at her, and the two went flying into a tree. With a sickening thump, the two tumbled to the ground. Jamie cried out; Ian only stood again and tensed himself protectively in front of Josh and I.

"Vampyre's never give up," she said angrily. It was Jamie's voice, only twisted and different. It was more welcoming, like if I was a boy, I'd like to become her boyfriend. Yet, to me, for I had seen her transformationf from human to Vampyre, her voice was warped and terrible. Being a Vampyre did this to people. Well, once-peopl.

She lunged at me again, this time knocking both Ian and Josh down. My body thrashed like a fish until I landed next to a tree. My head hit the trunk hard and I became dizzy. A silent scream echoed through my head, and I blinked the darkness and blood from my vision. I used my bloodstained hand to wipe the blood from my forehead as Jamie approached.

Suddenly, she cried out. Ian was on top of her, yanking her hair back. She tripped on a root and the two went tumbling to the ground, falling like angels. Josh had just recovered from the attack. He threw himself at me, scooping me into his arms.

"Silver!" he cried anxiously. "We need to get her to a hosptial. If not, she's gonna die."

"Who cares?" growled Silver irritably.

Clare shoved her out of the way to inspect me. Behind her, Jamie roared and tackled Ian again.

"I'm so sorry," she sobbed. "This is all my fault. I shouldn't have...splurged like this and turned her. Now, she's gonna kill Ceira."

"You already did just that," I cracked a smile, but it hurt to do just that.

"Ohmygod," Clare shrieked as she pointed to my neck. The little venom that had released into my system had begun turning my vein's purple, dying them. They weren't very visible, but if they took me to the hosptial, they would surely question.

"What do we do?"

"Change her," Josh said finally.

"No!" I coughed hard, spitting up blood. "I don't want to be a bloodsucking leech! Anything but that!" My heart ached after I said it.

"Please, Ceira," Joshed calmed me. "It's okay. You'll still be able to go to school and grow up as a normal girl and everything, just a little different." he looked at me. "Please, Ceira..."

"Is not that," I sobbed, tears streaming down my face, washing off the blood. "I don't want to be a...a..."

"A what?"

"A..." I sobbed. "Monster."

That was it. I had broken his heart. I had snapped it into a thousand pieces, and had ingraved him with the knowledge that he was a monster in my eyes. I saw him blink tears out of his eyes. My heart snapped as well, and I knew I had scarred him for life.

"I'll get you to a hospital," he said. "And if anyone asks, tell them its a birth defection."

Then, I wailed as a pain seared through me unlike any other.

Then, from the terrible, searing pain, I fainted.
