Solitude

Solitude

A Poem by Lizardo

You broke my heart
That was fragile like a glass
You lied to me, telling me things that were
never reachable

But you know
Now I'm happy
I'm happy because i found peace
Not in love,
In myself

I finally open my eyes and saw that
Love wasn't required for me to be happy
It could be something else!

That's why I decided to live in solitude for now

Instead of waiting for the perfect love to come
I'd rather believe it will never come
And then someday
It will surprissed me knocking on my door

That was brilliant. I loved it. And I can relate, as most of my life has been in solitude and isolation. Very well-done, and I'm definitely going to have to read this again!
