With a witty conversation,
And a quick abbreviation, 
Your true feelings are not rendered,
Though the timing is not tender. 
 
I could wait for you to show me,
Where this relationship is going.
Instead I think I'll grab the lead,
And gain some speed.
 
If I hang on every word,
Control you gain, it is absurd.
Instead I think I'll hold my own,
Since my past I sure have grown.
