Doing You Justice (Unfinished)

Doing You Justice (Unfinished)

A Poem by Lizzie Mitchell
"

UNFINISHED

"

It's strange seeing your picture now

I've seen you in person

You're so alive

So far from inanimate

So much is missing

So much movement

the reverberations of your vocal chords playing that song I love.. your voice

This square of pixals has a cold dead stare

that can't compare to the movement of your eyes

I love the way you look at me

Even though I usually feel uncomfortable

like you're peeling back the layers of my façade

Your fingers slide across my skin as if to savor every bit of me
