Ice

Ice

A Poem by Indigo Ribbon

Cold winter falls

piece by piece, bitter frozen crystals

caress the hard, desolate ground

leaving the world concealed

the dark, unbearable beauties

left just as innocent as they once were

nothing left but incandescent shimmers

no right or wrong to choose from

i stay and watch

til, my heart, is left numb

a captivating icicle

broken in two
