Cloud 9

Cloud 9

A Poem by Lorna Lee
"

“She fills my heart with joy and lifts me higher than I ever thought possible…”

"

I noticed her post on the web last night

it sounded so pure, so honest and right

It starts with a spark, to ignite the fire
as she writes of her dreams and her heart’s desire

Her words are so clear, honest and deep
I need to know more, I’m unable to sleep

I finally hit send, to respond to her quest
she replied to my message, and now I can rest

Kindred souls, destined to meet
as we write back and forth, my heart skips a beat

What is this feeling, of this I’m unsure
I know that it’s something, I need to know more

The excitement is growing, was this meant to be
two souls reaching out, for the universe to see

She’s shy at first, but her joy is true
we write back and forth, exciting me too

The world disappears, as does the time
I know in my heart, this MUST be cloud 9
